Charming Swallow Cottage is a higher standard mid-terraced stone cottage in Morwenstow hamlet, near Kilkhampton, 5 miles to Bude beaches, North Cornwall. 2 miles from Coombe Valley & Duck Pool beauty spot with sandy beach. The cottage has been converted (during 1999) from an 18th cent barn and is situated in a quieter rural position away from road traffic at the bottom of a short farm driveway. A traditional & attractive farm setting adjacent to the farm buildings on a mixed livestock farm. There is a good size enclosed lawn (visible in photo). Coarse fishing is inclusive. Approx. a 5 minutes stroll to the farms 2 ponds, 1 of which dates back to medieval times and earlier. One pond has fun fishing , not for serious fishermen (approx. 66 yards long) was restocked with coarse fish (tench, golden rudd & carp. Tench up to 3lbs and carp up to 10 lbs) during early 2010, The second pond, which was originally used as a carp pond by local monks back in the 12 th cent and is one of the oldest in the country (featured on a T.V. programme) has been set aside as a nature sanctuary, often hosting migratory birds such as ducks. What makes the ponds so attractive is that they are in a wooded setting, making a lovely venue for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the scenery.There are also farm woods to stroll in.

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 has bunk beds. Lounge/diner now with large wide screen T.V. (surround sound) & DVD. Kitchen with breakfast table, electric cooker, microwave, fridge. Washing machine. Bathroom with bath & overhead shower. Separate toilet.
