Description
Recommended. The Old Coach House is a higher standard & charming detached cottage in a quieter country setting on the edge of Charlestown village, 1 mile
from St Austell, Cornwall. Under half a mile stroll to harbour & beach at Charlestown with pub on the waterfront (does food). A short stroll to the Rashleigh Inn (good food). Charlestown is an interesting & working survival of a Georgian Cornish Village with an 18th century harbour, used for filming The Onedin Line. Most original buildings, cooperages, rope walk, timber & clay stores remain. Shipwreck & Heritage Museum with village life tableaux & probably the most
comprehensive shipwreck display in this country - usual museum opening period is Easter to October 16th. A large and lovely enclosed rear lawn.
