Description

‘Post Box Cottage’, a 200 years old terraced cottage in the ancient village of St Ewe under 3 miles to Mevagissey and 6 miles to St Austell, mid cornwall. This is a really pretty cottage which has been tastefully modernised, retaining character features such as exposed beams and original feature fireplace with clome oven. There is a small red Post Box set in the cottage's wall, hence the cottage's name. To the rear is a good size enclosed garden with seating. St Ewe is a traditional, tiny, rural and unspoilt Cornish village. There is an old church dating back to Norman times and a few minutes stroll from the cottage is the excellent Crown Inn (a welcoming pub with an open fire, parrot, bar with modestly priced bar food, good size restaurant). Footpaths and pleasant walks leading from the village. 3 miles away are the sandy beaches at Pentewan, the Lost Gardens of Heligan being about 1 mile and the Eden Project 11 miles.

Accommodation

Bedroom1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Walk through bedroom 2 to reach bedroom 1. Lounge/diner with T.V., DVD and a feature stone fireplace. Kitchen with electric hob unit, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Downstars bathroom with a shower unit (power shower), washbasin & toilet. Also, very popular with guests and great fun is a bath in the double bedroom concealed behing louvre doors in what at first glance appears to be part of the fitted cupboards.

Non-Smoking. Parking on road outside house or in free village parking area about 200 yards away (plenty of room). 2 dogs welcome.
