An old victorian character terraced stone cottage in a lovely country setting a few miles from Plymouth in beautiful countryside. Higher standard and appealing accommodation. Can walk over to the Moorland Hotel with bar and steak restaurant. Because this is such a super cottage and just over the cornish border into South Devon we have also included it under the East Cornwall heading. 5 miles from Plymouth on the Cornwall/Devon border, the cottage is in tiny wotter village near Shaugh Prior, on Dartmoor, 4 miles from Plympton and just 8 miles to Wembury beach. Great for ramblers as you can walk stright onto Dartmoor, the cottage being on the moors. Dartmoor ponies and sheep come right up to the cottage. Continue your moorland walk to beauty spots such as Shaugh Bridge and Cadover Bridge. A lovely setting with panoramic views, on a good day stretching all the way over the moors and countryside to the sea at Plymouth Sound. Enjoy the view while you take a meal from the decked rear patio (garden furniture, table and chairs). Nearby Plymouth has a host of attractions including the historic waterside Barbican and Hoe tourist areas, National Acquarium (thought to be largest in europe), Theatre Royal, National Trust houses, Pavilions entertainment centre with swimming pool, ice skating rink etc. Visit nearby Saltram House, Buckland Abbey, with much more in this area to see and explore. A great base for exploring East Cornwall and South Devon. Rear enclosed garden with the decked verandah and garden furniture.
