Tamar View Cottage is a nicely furnished 200 years old terraced cottage in a pretty setting in tiny Calstock village 5 miles from Callington, East Cornwall and only 8 miles from Plymouth. 16 miles to beaches at Whitsand Bay & Portwrinkle. Calstock is a character village on the banks of the river Tamar, the holiday cottage being down by the river & quay with lovely views over the Tamar estuary. A truly picturesque setting with some beautiful sunsets over the water. A hundred yards to the Tamar Inn with restaurant & good food, and also to the Riverside Cafe and waterfront. Calstock is renowned as not only a beauty spot but a great venue for walkers, with lovely riverside ovely walks along the estuary in both directions. There are views over the river and quay, from bedrooms 1 & 2, both bedrooms having window seats. Amble down to the riverbank & try fishing in the river for trout. Try the 1 and a half mile walk along the river to National Trust Cotehele House and Gardens and Quay. Other pretty and interesting places in this highly scenic locality which is of course part of the spectacular Tamar Valley; Cotehele House, Weir Quay, Morwellham Quay. Tiny front garden area.

A few 100 yards to free parking on the quay in village car park (always plenty of room). 1 small dog.
